狗熊迎来了粮食丰收年，它兴高采烈地摊好煎饼准备好好庆祝一番时，受到一群老鼠的骚扰，一番追逐，笨笨的它沮丧地成为老鼠的手下败将。狗熊求助大花猫，可是大花猫帮它捉来老鼠时，它却嫌老鼠个太小，并定下肥老鼠换肥鱼、相反只能吃瘦鱼的规定，惹恼了大花猫。为了吃上又大又肥的鱼，大花猫想出妙计，它用狗熊的粮食先把抓来的老鼠喂得饱饱的，然后才将它们献出——如此一来，狗熊果然得到了想象中的大肥鼠，可是也失去了珍贵的粮食。
